Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. She managed to make it on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance in comparison to her classmates. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, when she joined the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. This came out in 1992. The album received a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in October of 2014. This C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to her art work made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go...
